Renew by Telephone

For Telephone Renewal of your motor vehicle, vessel, mobile home registration, or disabled parking placard:

You will need your registration renewal form, which lists your PIN, in order to complete a telephone renewal transaction. Note: If your renewal notice does not include a PIN, you cannot renew by telephone.

This service is offered in conjunction with the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles. Any questions related to the telephone renewal options should be directed to the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles.

There is a convenience fee associated with telephone renewal transactions. Our office does not charge, collect or retain any portion of this fee. The fee is split between the third-party vendor that processes the transactions for the state and the credit card companies. Unfortunately, the only way we can offer the telephone payment option is through convenience fees. This service is offered strictly as a convenience. Motorists may elect to mail in their payment, use our online renewal process, pay at any of our branch offices, or use our 24-hour drop boxes located at our branch offices.

If renewing by telephone, the convenience fee is $2.90, plus a mail fee of 60 cents for a decal or $1.50 for a license plate.  These fees will be charged for each completed transaction.  

Once a transaction has been processed by telephone neither this office nor the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles can cancel the transaction. No refunds for the convenience fees will be issued.

Our offices do not accept credit card payments at our customer service counters due to credit card regulations concerning convenience fees.
