The Director of Motor Vehicles oversees the
branch offices that serve the citizens of Hillsborough County and is
responsible for customer services which include: titling and registering of
motor vehicles, mobile homes and vessels; the issuance of driver licenses,
occupational licenses and hunting and fishing licenses; and the collection
of property taxes.
The director oversees the implementation of
new procedures mandated by law and assists with ways for improving
efficiency and the performance of branch offices.
Dale M. Hoffman was named the Director of
Motor Vehicle Services in 2002 and has been with the office since joining
full-time in 1993. He is a graduate of Florida State University and resides
in Tampa.
